A Bit About Me

Christos is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS), with over 17 years of global experience in HR consulting and psychometric product development. Specialising in designing and implementing talent identification and development solutions, Christos has worked extensively across Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Southeast Asia, and India, as well as Europe. His career spans industries such as banking and finance, pharmaceuticals, engineering, oil and gas, transport, manufacturing, hospitality, and telecommunications.

 

Christos' expertise includes the design of competency frameworks, organisational culture and values alignment, executive coaching, and the development of scalable digital HR solutions. In his last corporate role as Director of Product Management for a leading HR Tech provider, he developed innovative, award-winning psychometric talent assessment tools and insights platforms, helping organisations enhance leadership identification, employee engagement, and workforce potential.

 

Holding an MSc in Organisational Psychology from City University, London, and a Diploma in Human Resource Management from London Metropolitan University, Christos brings both academic depth and practical expertise to his work. At OccPsyence, Christos works closely with clients to design products that are simple, intuitive, and designed to inform and empower end users to take meaningful action. Director of Product Management - Content, SHL​

​

I effectively led a team of product managers overseeing the SHL assessment and simulations product catalogue. Managed and led the end-to-end SHL content product lifecycle from market sensing, prototyping, testing, development and roadmap of new assessments content through to maintenance and retirement.

  • Led and delivered the development of a new, game-based process monitoring simulation assessment aimed at assessing candidates for high-risk roles, resulting in a significant improvement in prediction of job success in such roles (e.g. air traffic controllers).

  • Developed an innovative AI-based customer service agent simulation to proficiently evaluate candidates' handling of multiple customer queries through chat. This strategic initiative resulted in the successful recapture of market share among prominent contact centre clients

  • Defined and implemented a new content management strategy with clear product retirement criteria resulting in a 45% reduction in third party costs as well as a 25% reduction in the maintenance efforts for the product portfolio, streamlining resources, and enhancing overall efficiency in content management.

Led SHLs vision in the space of objective talent insights. Worked across multiple teams and stakeholders and delivered product Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and roadmap by applying agile methodologies.

  • Led competitor and business analysis within the people insights space by synthesizing industry trends, engaging with users, and meticulously capturing SHLs unique differentiators against competitors Presented the findings to SHLs Executive Team gaining alignment on segment vision and strategy.

  • Developed a highly differentiated product concept "Project Focus," which aligned with the segment vision and strategy (concept trailer here). Conducted rigorous desirability testing with customers on key aspects of product vision and MVP definition, resulting in refinement of vision and MVP product features.

  • Effectively presented the MVP, product roadmap, and future vision, securing early adoption from global clients for the Beta version of the product. Early adopting clients provided testimonials, references, and case studies, contributing to the product's credibility and market positioning.

  • Earned dual industry accolades for the Product MVP: "Best Advance in Career Management or Planning Technology" and "Best Analytics, Measurement, and Business Impact Solution."
